I fell in love with filmmaking and storytelling when I first watched Kill Bill, Vol. 1 at the ripe old age of thirteen, and it put a spell on me. Is that too young to be watching this kind of movie? Not for me to say, you’ll have to ask my parents, but I thought to myself after watching;

“You can make something like this and get paid for it!? I’m in.”

I have been working in the editorial game for over ten years and am an extremely motivated, creative, and strategic editor who approaches every project with a multidisciplinary mindset. My dedication to innovation and pixel perfection sets me apart in the field, and I consistently strive to produce work that is both visually compelling and meticulous.

As a seasoned freelancer, I have endeavoured to build upon my experience and abilities as an editor by choosing to work on projects as diverse as possible - from scripted drama to unscripted comedy, corporate promotional material to trailers, kids’ content and documentary. This broad background has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of various genres and production styles. As an avid film nerd, I am passionate about storytelling in all its forms, regardless of format.

I thrive in team environments, building collective relationships and inspiring those around me. My approach emphasises collaboration and problem-solving, which not only enhances performance and productivity but also ensures that we create a product everyone can be proud of. My enthusiasm is evident in every role I undertake, and I encourage co-workers to contribute ideas and push creative boundaries.

Driven by visual flair and a passion for storytelling, I aim to create powerful yet entertaining content as an editor. I aim to inspire other creative minds, believing that creativity inspires creativity. I have been fortunate to have been nominated for and won multiple awards for editing, and to have multiple projects play in prestigious festivals around the world.

At the end of the day, all I’m looking for is the right rug that really ties the room together. When I’m not head down in an Avid keyboard, I’m making short films, doing my best to be a good dad and husband, indulging myself at nice restaurants, playing video games, getting through my never-ending list of films to watch, and teaching editing and post-production processes in various tertiary institutions.

Proficient in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve. I have my own remote editing system available and can work remotely.
